Sons of Modayil Vazheparambil Philipose:

  • Modayil P M George (Kutty), Tiruvalla (1884-1962) – He passed Matriculation from CMS High School, Kottayam where he was known by the name K P Varghese. Thereafter he changed his name as P M George and entered Travancore Govt. Service. He retired as Head Clerk from the Tiruvalla Munsiff’s Court and settled down in Tiruvalla. He had also passed pleadership exam. He was a member of the famous Excelsior Football Club of Kerala. He was known as an honest and affable person. He was Trustte of the Tholassery CSI church. He married Annamma, D/o. Koshy Asan. She had passed Lower Secondary Exam and retired as Govt. School Teacher. She died in 1968. They had two sons and three daughters.
  • Karikattoor Thonimankal P M Kurien (Kochappy) – 1891-1972. He was a good Agriculturist and was the trustee of CSI church, Karikattoor. He married Saramma, D/o. Kurien, Ambattu family in Karikattoor. They had two sons and five daughters.
  • Modayil Vazheparambil M P Philip – He entered agricultural profession before completing High School studies. He was service minded and efficient. He married Sosamma, D/o. Kuruvilla of Thenmalil family in Nedumprayar. She died in 1970. They had four sons and one daughter.
  • Modayil Arampulickal Philip Ninan, B.A., L.T. – Born on August 26, 1901, he passed B.A. from Thiruvanathapuram. He had secured several medals in the games of Football, Volleyball and Badminton representing his college. He started his career as a Teacher and retired from the post of Headmaster of St. Thomas High School, Kozhencherry. He married Aliyamma of Karichepon Maruthikunnel family in Thuruthicadu. They had three sons and three daughters.Modayil Kudumbacharithram was written by him during 1972-73 and was also the Secretary of the Modayil Kudumbayogam.

Daughters of Modayil Vazheparambil Philipose:

  • Annamma was married to Thommachen of Ambatt family in Karikattoor.
  • Sosamma was married to Thommachen of Chelikuzhy family in Kozhencherry.
  • Aliyamma was married to Chandy Asan of Valliparambil family in Koothrappally.
  • Mariamma was married to Thomas of Kannamala family in Pariyaram, Mallappally.

Son of Modayil Kavil Ipe:

  • Kavil M E George, B.A., L.T. (Kunjoonju) 1892-1964. He was a student of the CMS High School, Kottayam and Madras Christian College. He started his long years of service, first as Teacher and then as Headmaster in CMS High School, Mallappally. After retirement, he worked as Headmaster of Puthussery High School and B.H. High School in Mavelikkara. He gave liberal financial assistance to poor students.He was also an eminent Homeopathy Practitioner. He married Annamma D/o. Ipe of Valanjattil family in Kottayam. They had three sons and seven daughters.

Daughters of Modayil Kavil Ipe:

  • Kunjamma was married to Kutty of Madathil family in Ancherry.
  • Chinnamma was married to Thomas of Valuchirayil family in Mannar.
  • Gracy was married to V T Thomas of Veembukattu family in Anicadu.

Sons of Modayil Nedungadappallil Chacko:

  • Puthukulam Varghese (Kutty) – He married Annamma, D/o. Rev. P M Kurien of Malamel Puthenpurackal family in Nedungadappally. They had one son and one daughter.
  • Karikattoor Modayil Venthara Idicula (Valiapappy), 1886-1963. He was a good agriculturist and expert hunter. He married Achiamma, D/o. Kuriachen of Ambattu family in Karikattoor. They had three sons and four daughters. After the death of Achiyamma, he re-married Annamma, D/o. Thommachen of Pazhamannil family in Thelliyil. They had four daughters.
  • Nedungadappallil Chacko (Kunjappy) – He married Kunjamma, D/o. Kochoonju Sir of Palamattathu family in Keezhvaipur. They had three sons and one daughter.
  • Nedungadappallil M C Ipe – He married Sosamma, D/o. Mathew of Keezhukara Mannil family. They had two sons and two daughters. Sosamma died at the age of 33 years. Ipe died in 1969.

Daughters of Modayil Nedungadappallil Chacko:

  • Annamma was married into the Mammoottil family in Thalavady.
  • Aleymathu died as spinster.

Sons of Modayil Puthenpurackal Varghese:

  • Puthenpurackal M V George (Pappy Sir) – He completed High School Education in Kottayam and Thiruvalla. He was affectionately called “Achayan” by all and well known to all, in Central Travancore. He indulged in humorous conversation and easily made friends with everybody. From the very starting of the CMS LP school in Nedungadappally, he was a teacher there, he also a very good agriculturist. After retirement from service, he joined the Ceylon Pentacost Mission for some time, but subsequently returned to the original CSI church, Nedungadappally. He was a bachelor and died on 20-07-1974.
  • Puthenpurackal M V Philip (Kunjampeely) – He also died as a bachelor.
  • Devikolam Modayil M V Thomas – After High School education, he started his own business ventures in Devikolam. He married Mariamma, D/o. Pulimootil Mammachen of Chalakuzhy family in Thiruvalla. They had three sons and three daughters.

Daughters of Modayil Puthenpurackal Varghese:

  • Annamma was married to the son of Chackochen, Peedikayil family in Mundakayam.
  • Sosamma was married into the Kureekattil family in Elanthoor. After the death of her husband she stayed in her father’s house in Mallappally. After the marriage of her eldest daughter Thankamma to Pappachen of Pooppallil family. She was staying with them in Erupackal, Mallappally till her death.
  • Mariamma was married to Chackochen of Karunnapuzha Padinjareveetil family in Mallappally. Mathukutty, B.A., B.T., Karunnapuzha is their son.

Sons of Modayil Adavimannam Oommen:

  • M O Varghese M.A., Modayil Grace House – He passed B.A. (Hons) from the Maharaja’s College, Trivandrum and started his service as a college Teacher. He retired as Labour Commissioner. Thereafter, he joined Pierce Leslie Co. as Labour Advisor and performed distinguished service for the company which earned him accolades from the top management of the company. In recognition of his very meritorious service, the company gave him fat salary and generous pension. He was endowed with masterly grasp of general knowledge, economics, English language and literature and ability to find solutions for the many social and labour problems. Though he was short tempered, he immediately repented, was kind, sympathetic and extremely generous. He is aged 82 years and leads a peaceful life in his home. He married Ailey Varghese(Thankamma), M.A., L.T., D/o. C K Koshy Asan of Chenathra family Thirivalla. She retired from Govt. Service as High School Headmistress. They had two sons and one daughter.
  • Adavimannathy M O Ipe – He comleted Matriculation and died as a bachelor.
  • Rajagiri M O Thomas – Though he did not complete High School education, he studied Homeopathy and was famous as a homeopathic practitioner. He was well built, strong, able and efficient. He was trustee of the St. Thomas CSI Church, Nedungadappally. He always stood for his own opinions and never yielded to anyone. He married Achikunju from Maliakkal Parambil family in Mavelikkara. They have one son.
  • M O Thariyan – Died without any offspring.
  • M O Philip (Pappi Kunju) – He was settled in Kallooppara. He passed E.S.L.C. and pleadership exams. Practiced for long number of years in the courts in Thiruvalla. He married Ponnamma of Pazhavarickal family in Kallooppara. Ponnamma was a School Teacher who passed E.S.L.C and T.T.C. They had no offspring. Ponnamma died in 1969.
  • Samuel Kutty, died in very young age.

Daughters of Modayil Adavimannam Oommen:

  • Kunjamma was married to Koshy Varghese of Puthenparambil family in Kumbanadu.
  • Aliyamma was married to Eapachen of Kozhikunnathu family in Mallappally. Kozhikunnathu Baby, Charley, Georgekutty and Joy are her sons.
  • Saramma was married to Thomas of Punnathundiyil family in Kuriannoor. Saramma died in 1968 at the age of 68 years.
  • Baby was married to M M Ninan, B.A., L.T. of Edamurickal family in Anicadu.

Sons of Modayil Mavunkal Yohannan:

  • M J Georgr B.A. – He worked as a Teacher in North India Singapore Govt. Service before World War II. He was a bachelor. He never went after fame or riches and led a pious and simple life style.
  • Mavunkal M J Chacko – Died in 1921 at the age of 19years.
  • Mavunkal M J John (Pappy) – He married Annamma, D/o. Eapachen of Moothedathu family in Kallooppara. They had two sons and eight daughters.
  • Mavunkal Mary Nivas M J Philip, B.A. – He was born on 18-04-1911. He worked in senior administrative positions in H & C, Kollam and Mundakayam. He was one of the pioneers who organized the Modayil Kudumbayogam. He was the first General Secretary of the Kudumbayogam. He married Thankamma, E.S.L.C., D/o. Cherickal Pothen, Mundakayam. They have two sons.
  • Mavunkal M J Thomas (Pachen) – Died as a bachelor.

Daughters of Modayil Mavunkal Yohannan:

  • Annamma was married to Eapen Ninan of Kuttiparambil family in Thalavady.
  • Aliyamma was married to V T Thomas, Bar-at-Law of Vattasseril family in Keezhvaipur.
  • Mariamma was married to Head Surveyor C Chacko of Panickaruveettil family in Karackal. They settlrd in Mallappally. Rev. C.J. Das, B.A., B.D. is their son.
  • Saramma was married to V M Varghese (H & C Co.) of Mundappallil family in Thiruvalla. They settled in Kollam.
  • Chinnamma was married to Er. C G Mathew( Burmah Service) of Cherukara family in Ayroor. They settled in Keezhillom. Rev. C George Mathew of Mar Thoma Church is their son.

Daughter of Modayil Manjathanathu Kurien:

  • The only daughter was married to K M Oommen, B.A., S/o. Kandathil K C Mammen Mappllai, settled in Madras. Dr. K O Mammen and K O Kurien are their sons.
